Levitate Airframe on the Assembly Line: EMG Fatigue Assessment at Toyota Canada

Gillette J.C., Saadat S., Butler T.

Iowa State University / Lean Steps Consulting · 2022 · Canada

Field study at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada: 16 male team members wore the Levitate Airframe passive shoulder exoskeleton during 16 real assembly processes with elevated arm postures while bilateral EMG on four muscle groups was recorded (Wearable Technologies, 2022). One of the few exoskeleton evaluations run on a live automotive line; data available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
